In a move that highlights the spirit of collaboration and mutual support in the realm of customs and trade, ROCB Europe recently had the privilege of hosting a delegation from the Training Specialized Customs Body of the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic. The visit, which took place on October 20, 2023, was marked by discussions aimed at fostering cooperation and exploring new initiatives to strengthen the ties between the two entities.

Mr. Mirhasan Seyidzade, the Deputy Director of ROCB Europe, warmly welcomed the delegation, setting the stage for fruitful conversations. The primary focus of the discussions was on enhancing collaboration and introducing innovative projects that can elevate the capabilities of Member Administrations in the WCO Europe region. Among the key highlights of the meeting was Mr. Seyidzade's mention of the new fellowship program, which is designed to expand participation in ROCB Europe, thereby promoting knowledge sharing and capacity building among customs professionals.

Ms. Zamira Kidyrgichova Avtandilovna, Head of the Teaching and Methodological Department of the Specialized Customs Body of the Kyrgyz Republic, underlined the significance of cooperation in the capacity building delivery process. This emphasis on capacity building is instrumental in ensuring that customs personnel are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively carry out their duties and responsibilities.

During the visit, Ms. Rubaba Mammadova, the Office Manager of ROCB Europe, presented an informative session that shed light on the history and mission of ROCB Europe.
