The Regional Workshop on Simplification and Acceleration of Customs Procedures will be convened at the ROCB Europe Premises in Baku, Azerbaijan from 20 to 21 June 2018.

The Workshop, which is intended for sharing experiences among Member Administrations and Inter-Governmental Organizations, will be conducted on the main theme of “Simplification and Acceleration of Customs Procedures”. Any innovative implementation, activity or initiative aimed at facilitating customs procedures or cross-border movement of goods thereby regional trade that are applied by Customs Administrations whether unilaterally, bilaterally or multilaterally will be included in the context of the event.

The examples of sub-topics might comprise special procedures for expediting customs clearance such as simplified customs corridors, advance electronic information practices, automated processes or priorities provided to stakeholders in the supply chain.

The Workshop is also intended to serve as a platform in enhancing the dialogue and networking among officials from Member Administrations and Inter-Governmental Organizations.
