A workshop on “International Humanitarian Law” was held at the Regional Office for Capacity Building for the WCO Europe Region in Baku, Azerbaijan from 19 to 20 February 2020.
The State Customs Committee, ROCB Europe and the State Border Service officials were represented in the workshop, which was organized by the Defense Institute of International Legal Studies of the United States.
The workshop was intended to give an overview about“Human Rights” which covers Regional human rights instruments that help to localise international human rights norms and standards, reflecting the particular human rights concerns of the region.
During the workshop, experts from the Defense Institute of International Legal Studies of the United States made presentations on "Respect and Respect for Human Rights", "Regional International Human Rights Treaty", "Torture - Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment", "Gender Violence and Trafficking in International Law," Law Enforcement reports on other topics such as "the use of force."
The next day of the workshop, which will run until February 20, will also include a series of presentations on "International Armed Conflicts and Law", "Rules for the Use of Force", "Selection of the Target for the Law of Armed Conflict ".
