Within the framework of the development of cooperation between RTCs / ROCBs of the European Region and the Asia-Pacific Region of WCO, on July 3, 2019, a representative of the WCO Asia-Pacific Regional Office for Capacity Building Dr. Tong Hua visited the WCO Regional Training Centre (Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine).
During the visit, Dr. Tong Hua, who is also a CCF/CHINA Fund Operational Manager & Program Manager(Pacific Islands), was briefed on the infrastructure and main activities of the Department for Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, on the basis of which the WCO RTC and WCO RDTC (Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine) function, as well as on the activities and perspectives of the development of both WCO regional training centres.
In the course of the meeting Dr. Tong Hua presented the activities of the WCO ROCB A/P, in particular, the number of member states of the region, a strategic plan of the region, and paid particular attention to the use of the WCO e-learning platform CLiKC!. in the system of training and advanced training of customs officers.
Besides, Dr. Tong Hua informed the staff of the Department about the main areas of training of customs officers of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), the content and duration of the induction training and advanced training of the managers of the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China. At the end of the meeting, there was a presentation of the WCO tools that could be used to assess special and specialized training of the SFS customs officials.
The parties expressed their will to continue cooperation.
