The Dog Training Center of the Ministry of Customs and Trade of the Republic of Turkey has become an accredited WCO Regional Dog Training Center. 

Pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding co-signed by the World Customs Organization and the Ministry of Customs and Trade, the Center which is located in Ankara, Turkey will continue its activities as the WCO Regional Dog Training Center. 

The Center primarily focuses on combating drugs and cigarette smuggling and the accreditation will further extend the Center's activities on international cooperation.

The WCO Regional Dog Training Center in Ankara was officially launched on 14 September 2017.
