Croatia Customs warns that the Covid-19 pandemic has led to a greater influx of banned and non-compliant goods, especially face masks, into the European Union. In many cases, these are also infringements of intellectual property rights in relation to face masks.
Counterfeit respirators are products that are falsely labeled and marketed as NIOSH approved products and as such do not provide the necessary respiratory protection for users.
The warning also includes information on how to identify these products in line with the Center for Diseases and Preventive Control instructions.
