ROCB Europe paid a courtesy visit to the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan to congratulate newly appointed Chairman Mr. Sefer Mehdiyev.

During the visit, topics about further improving the collaboration between ROCB Europe and the State Customs Committee were elaborated as well. Mr. Mehdiyev emphasized the deep cooperative relations between the State Customs Committee and World Customs Organization (WCO) as well as ROCB Europe. The Chairman also mentioned State Customs Committee’s decisive will with regard to further advancement of trade facilitation activities.

ROCB Europe briefed Mr. Mehdiyev of the recently launched Strategic Framework of the Office and outreach materials as well as of the planned activities in the period ahead that will be organized by the Office kickstarting in late June 2018 with the Regional Workshop on Simplification and Acceleration of Customs Procedures.

Mr. Mehdiyev underlined the importance of ROCB Europe in collecting and disseminating information about innovative initiatives of the Member Administrations in the WCO Europe Region using online platforms.
