In a promising move towards fostering enhanced cooperation and capacity building initiatives, the recently appointed Director of the Regional Office for Capacity Building for the World Customs Organization Europe Region (ROCB Europe), Mr. Antonio Lo PARCO held a constructive meeting with the Director of the WCO Capacity Building Directorate, Mr. Taeil KANG.

The meeting, held at a pivotal time in capacity building, offered a valuable opportunity for the directors to engage in a fruitful exchange of ideas and discuss ongoing and potential collaborative projects between ROCB Europe and the WCO Capacity Building Directorate. The directors expressed their mutual commitment to fostering greater coordination among customs administrations in the region and strengthening partnerships between their institutions.

During the meeting, Director of ROCB Europe, Mr. Antonio Lo PARCO conveyed his commitment to advancing customs capabilities through capacity building activities and strengthening trade facilitation across the WCO Europe region. The director expressed enthusiasm for building on the achievements of their predecessors and exploring innovative approaches to address emerging challenges in capacity building. He expressed gratitude for the continuous assistance and guidance provided by the WCO Capacity Building Directorate.

The Director of the WCO Capacity Building Directorate warmly welcomed the new director and lauded the office's past contributions to the region. He acknowledged ROCB Europe's significant role in implementing successful capacity building projects that have positively impacted customs administrations within the WCO Europe region.
