On October 14, Director of ROCB Europe, Ms. Narynkul Tagainazar met with the First Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Acting Chairman, Lieutenant-General of the Customs Service Mr. Sahin Bagirov.

Mr. Shahin Baghirov congratulated Ms. Narynkul Tagainazar on her appointment to a new position and emphasized that international cooperation is of particular importance in the organization of customs work, and the ROCB Europe plays an important role in strengthening and coordinating relations among the Member Administrations in the WCO Europe Region in this direction.

Mr. Shahin Baghirov talked about the effective cooperation between the State Customs Service and the WCO, drew attention to the fact that important steps have been taken to establish the Azerbaijan Customs Services in accordance with modern standards, to improve the Customs Service, and in this direction, the WCO tools and instruments are continuously used.

Ms. Narynkul Tagainazar expressed her gratitude to the State Customs Committee with appreciating the current level of multilateral cooperation of ROCB Europe with the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and noted that, as the host administration, the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues to support by the mean of appointment of executive officers for the effective organization of the ROCB Europe's activities, as well as the provision of the material and technical base.     

At the meeting, discussions were held regarding the activities of the ROCB Europe, and the need to expand cooperation opportunities and develop relations was emphasized.
