Regional Intellectual Property Rights Seminar for Central Asia and Azerbaijan under the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime-World Customs Organization Global Container Control Programme was held in the premises of ROCB Europe in Baku, Azerbaijan, on 3-7 October 2016.

The seminar was started with the opening speeches by UNODC ROCA Regional Programme Coordinator Mr. Batyr Geldiyev, Head of State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan Mr. Aydin Aliyev, Head of ROCB Europe Mr. Roger Hermann and WCO Technical Expert Ms. Sandra Wens.

The main topic of the seminar was Combating Counterfeiting and Piracy. During the seminar, presentations made on WCO IPR objectives, TRIPS agreement, WCO tools for combating counterfeiting and piracy and workshops on "How to detect fake goods" were realized.
