From 4 to 8 April 2022, the World Customs Organization (WCO) conducted a comprehensive diagnostic mission on combating counterfeiting and piracy for the Kazakhstan State Revenue Committee.

Within the framework of the SECO-WCO Global Trade Facilitation Programme (GTFP), funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the WCO conducted a Strategic Planning Workshop in Uzbekistan from 4 to 8 April 2022. The Workshop followed up on the virtual workshop delivered in June 2021.

Regional Office for Capacity Building for the World Customs Organization Europe Region (ROCB Europe) and French Customs Service held a meeting on March 31, Member Administration of WCO Europe Region, in order to evaluate the possibility and tentative way forward for expanding cooperation, including but not limited to organizing joint events, collaborating on trainings.

The Global Meeting of the Regional Entities established by the WCO Members and the Council Vice-chairs’ Offices held its 17th Session on 17-18 February in a hybrid format enabling delegates who could not travel to participate remotely via an online platform.

ROCB Europe Annual Progress Report 2021/2022 is now available. As periodically carried out by the ROCB Europe, Annual Progress Report 2021/2022 is being submitted to the Member Administrations of the WCO Europe Region.

WCO Sub-Regional workshop on disaster management and supply chain continuity in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic: sharing of experiences and lessons learned will be held from 28 to 30 March 2022 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

An Online Regional Workshop on “Cross-Border E-Commerce” that aimed at sensitizing Customs administrations of the Europe region about the WCO E-Commerce Package, including the Framework of Standards on Cross Border E-Commerce (E-Commerce FoS), and the steps needed for its implementation was held from 24 to 28 January 2022.
